We look at how mountains can be used as metaphors for life, before focusing on the descriptions of the grandfather, Includes an analytical paragraph scaffold, differentiated activities and questions and engaging resources that will prepare KS4 students for AQA English Literature Paper 2. This lesson is also easily adaptable for KS3 students as well.

Romeo and Juliet lesson on her death and the apothecary. A fully differentiated and resourced lesson that focuses on a number of key scenes from William Shakespeare’s classic Romeo and Juliet. We look at Act 4 Scene 3 as Juliet takes the vial of liquid given to her by the Friar. Additionally, we see how Romeo reacts as Balthasar tells him the news that Juliet is dead and we look at Act 5 Scene 1 as Romeo visits the apothecary to purchase poison. We analyse the use of language in these scenes and explain their impact on the audience. Definitely worth a download!
